KHTC move a step further. For the
first time a group of traditional musician was established. 6 person are
assigned to undergo a training to play the instrument. The musical instrument
was made from Kelantan and as per schedule it was ready in the 3rd week of
November. The instrument are consists of 2 gendang, 1 gong and 1 serunai. The
player selected will undergo various style of tune especially the traditional
method. They also will be taught the tune of a nobat.
KHTC had a big plan for the setup
team and it is going to be the biggest task and challenge for them. For all who
are interested to utilized the team please feel free to contact any KHTC
members .

The purpose of setting up the musician
are to prepare and equip as we can in
order to preserved the adat of Silat Seni Gayong. Although Silat Seni Gayong
don't utilized music during their event except the event of adat, the
traditional music is an important part of the Malay culture.
The understanding and
coordinating while playing the instrument are important between all the
players. It is not only coordinating between musician but is also coordinating
with the silat performer. Although Silat Seni Gayong apply music on the adat
event but other silat style did utilized music in their silat play. Here KHTC
will add as another traditional musical player in any event invited.

There are different style of tune
from the north to the south. KHTC are taking a step to learn all the different
tune and become a centre or preserving the traditional tune of traditional
gendang music in the Malay Peninsula. It will take years and years of study and
learning but it must get to start from the line. This is not an easy vision but
nothing can be achieve without trying and doing. At KHTC we feel strongly that
we will achieve the target and with the support of all the members helping hand
in hand we will climb the mountain as high as we can.
