KHTC Final Evaluation Test



One of the gelanggang under KHTC supervision has conducted evaluation test for their members. The event was performed on 26 November 2013 at Gelanggang Unisel Shah Alam and on 28 November 2013 at Gelanggang Unisel Bestari Jaya,Kuala Selangor. Those involved are Unisel students who join Silat Seni Gayong for their Co curriculum activities. Which are compulsory for a first year student and for those who has not completed their Co curriculum activities when they admitted to the university. There are 20 boys and 10 girls involved in the grading at Unisel Shah Alam and 24 girls and 5 boys at Unisel Bestari Jaya. Total for these semester is 59 students involved in the subject HDU 1211.


Unisel Shah Alam

The grading started at 22h00 and finish at 00h00 for both venue.They were tested the Silat Seni Gayong movement, escape techniques and striking techniques. The grading is done after 28hours of Co curriculum activities and if they passed they will be given a marked for their involvement. This is the 4th group Co curriculum team who were been graded. If they manage to passed this test they were eligible to received 1 credit hour  for this subject. The Co curriculum grade is based on outdoor activities, silat training and participate in adat -istiadat of Silat Seni Gayong.

The HDU 1211 which are a code for the subject are monitored and supervised by Unisel Co curriculum unit . This subject was first started early 2012 when KHTC submit and suggested a proposal to the university to accept Silat Seni Gayong as one of the subject in education for the university.

Unisel Bestari Jaya

Since it was launched, up to date 129 students has join the activities. In the first semester 2012 the subject is offered only for 40 students, only 17 students enroll. In the second semester 2012 the subject is enroll by 32 students. For first semester 2013 the enrollment was 21 students and in the second semester the enrollment increased to 59 students due to the subject was offered for 80 students per semester.  Beside Malaysian student. they are also student from different country such as China, Iraq, Afghanistan and India. After completed the Co curriculum subject they are free to continued Silat Seni Gayong through the club in the university.

Through these the university is putting an aimed to produced students who are competitive and open minded. As well as producing  a noble and dynamic characteristic future leadership with a strong spiritual reformation and generate healthy physical body and mind.
